Quarter, Half, and Whole Beef    Riding through the cows on the Smith Ranch.

The most economical way to purchase beef from our company is to order a 1/4 (quarter) of beef, a 1/2 (half) of a beef, or a whole beef.  Many of the cost for processing and handling are eliminated and we pass these savings on to our customers.  Feeding the cows from a tractor.

The beef is priced by the hanging weight.  The approximate hanging weights are:

  •     1/4 of beef is approximately 175 lbs.
  •     1/2 of a beef is approximately 350 lbs.
  •     Whole beef is approximately 700 lbs.

Our beef is grain finished for the last 60 to 90 days. Every beef carcass is aged on the rail for 14 days before processing.

1/4 beef $3.50 per pound by hanging weight
1/2 beef $3.50 per pound by hanging weight
Whole Beef $3.50 per pound by hanging weight
