What is all Natural Beef?No antibiotics or hormones are added to the feed or administered during the feeding period. But calf-hood vaccinations are given at birth. Back to TopHow is the beef raised?They are born and raised on family farms in the North Fork Valley and Crawford area of western Colorado. They are grass and grain fed. Because the cattle are raised on family ranches, they are subject to much less stress and, therefore, less susceptible to disease. Back to TopHow do you ensure the safety of your meat?All the meat is USDA inspected at Homestead Meats which is owned and operated by Colorado Homestead Ranches. Homestead Meats is a small processes plant that follows the guidelines for humane treatment on animals established by the USDA. Back to TopCan we ship our meat?Yes, it can be shipped UPS next day or second day air in insolated boxes. Prices vary depending on destination. The meat has to remain frozen therefore dry ice is added. This can increase the cost of shipping. Back to TopDo you finish the cattle on grain?Yes, the cattle is fed a grain of corn silage and hay the last 60 to 90 days to insure tenderness and excellent taste. Back to TopDo you have Grass-Fed animals?Yes, we offer Grass-Fed animals. They are available mid-august thru September. Orders need to be placed by July 15 to guarantee delivery of Grass-Fed beef. Orders placed after July 15 are subject to availability. Back to TopWhat is a Grass-Fed animal?Grass-Fed animals are not feed any type of grain. It is purely fattened on grass.
